In January 2014 POV Dance performed 3x3 at the Leftbank Project on N Broadway. Working in collaboration with filmmaker Patrick Weishampel/BLANKEYE and musicians/composers Katie Griesar and Luke Matter, POV Dance transformed the extraordinary space into a moving landscape of bodies, sound and architecture.
The Leftbank Project is a historical landmark that has housed a succession of businesses, most notably the iconic 1940s Dude Ranch jazz club. In 2008, meticulously re-imagined and restored after years of vacancy, Leftbank opened its doors to reclaim its spot as a hub of creativity and culture.
Small audiences were guided through hallways, stairwells, open spaces and intimate nooks, following a series of three converging duets.
